Does Windows 10 come with photo editor?

When it comes to photo editing, we don’t know yet whether Windows 10 will come with photo editor, but if you want to be able to do that without the need for a third party photo editor, Windows 10 on the Universal PC Platform comes with the photo editing software called Photo Studio. It’s a simple picture viewer which doesn’t require any additional software besides the default photo editor installed on your computer.

Image editing apps such as Camera Raw, Photo Cutter, Photomatix, etc. can be used in Photo Studio by simply going to the image or using different tools. You can’t edit the images directly like in Photos app but you can save them and share them to other applications.

If you’d like a little more help, Microsoft recently released a quick guide on how to use Image Editing app in Windows 10 on Universal PC Platform. It can be found below.

If you already have an image editor installed on your PC, then the only thing you will need to do is to create a few pictures that you want to edit so that when you go to the Photo Editor, your changes will be preserved. After editing the picture, the new content that will make a change on your image will be saved through the menu. If you have some edits that you want to save without going to the photo editor, just right-click on them and select save as.

Also, be aware that the photo editor in Windows 10 Universal PC Platform is very simple and doesn’t have any advanced editing features. All you need to do is to set your picture as your background picture or as a background to any other image that you want to edit and save it.
