At the lowest level, if you have a little extra money, you can just order one that will be made of cardboard and you have the dummy at your disposal. Or you can buy a cheap ventriloquist dummy, put it in a cardboard box and send it by regular mail. These people would not come in handy and there would be a cost for them.

Ventriloquists must pay for their own air-conditioning and gas in order for their dummy to get warm, and a ventrode costs more than one that does not. The dummy is also going to get hot at times. For a little extra money, you can buy a heated dummy made of cardboard. This would not make you very warm, but it was a lot cheaper, and if you just heat it down on a regular thermostat, after the dummy is dry, you may just notice the warm, moist sensation as you turn the thermostat back up.
