Soak the spiced herbs/spices in hot water.

I love to soak the spices for hours in hot water, but if you don’t have time, then just soak them for about 5 minutes. Add them the rice and the rice you are going to use, let it soak for about 15 minutes, then drain the water and add back to the spice oil.
